On our way to the Neuschwanstein castle on Wednesday, we stopped at the church Wieskirche.
This is just one picture of the inside of this church to give you an idea of how elaborate the inside was made.
Here is a view of the most famous castle in Germany: Neuschwanstein. From the road it is far off in the distance high up on a hill. Sadly due to the fog you can not see the mountains in the backround like all the cool pictures online. But I did promise Kaitlin a castle picture, so here it is!

This picture was taken right outside the wall's main entrance after a 1/2 an hour walk up the hill. It was cold and I was pretty excited about going inside.
Since you are not allowed to take pictures inside I was only able to get some before the tour started. The tour was short but our tour guide spoke much better English. The castle was built in 17 years but not completed. King Ludwig who built it only lived in it for less than 200 days before he died at a young age. The last room of the tour was completed the day before he died and after he died his relative turned the castle into a museum. The castle reminds me of a romantic tragedy. The outside and inside of the castle are truly beautiful but the unfinished rooms are only a reminder of the sad ending for such a young king.
