Day 1 & 2 in Frankfurt

Early morning Tuesday, December 9th, Johannes and I welcomed Frankfurt, Germany to a blazing red runrise at 7:40 am. Unfortunately after we passed under the clouds that was the last we saw of the sun. We were greeted at the airport by Matthias and Fritz and spoiled with a breakfast downtown. The weather so far in Frankfurt has been overcast and damp but very green. Since we were both extremely tired we snuck in a nap but it only made it harder staying awake afterward. Margarete made Johannes' favorite meal of wild boar and dumplings. Since I started to fall asleep at the table we made our way to bed only to sleep until Wednesday afternoon. This evening we will be heading downtown for the famous Christmas market.

In case the blog doesn't get updated everyday these are our upcoming plans...
Friday-Sunday we will be spending time at the Giessen summer home in the small town of Udenhausen.
Monday-Friday will be spent in Munich with Katharina & Robert
Saturday the Giessen family will be cutting down their Christmas tree from the forest.
